The Essentials

I laughed as I walked by our kitchen counter a few days ago and noticed this:

Our nutritional essentails all lined up: rice, wheat, pasta, and wild cherry M&M's.

Perfect. Wild cherry M&Ms? Never heard of them! Am I missing out? That jar looks pretty full. :) I've been totally out of the loop. I had fun catching up on all your latest posts. My fav is Hayden's comment about the North Virginia sand throwing tradition. Where do these things come from!? Hilarious.

Wild Cherry? I think I need some of those.

They are essentials but what do you do with the wheat? Of course you gotta have the sweets around; a staple at our house as well.

We use the wheat to make breakfast cereal (wheat berries)by cooking them in the crock pot overnight with water and a little honey. And, we just bought a wheat grinder so we actually grind the wheat to make flour. The wheat grinder is one of my favorite purchases this year and well worth it!
