The search continues!

I am so frustrated with the job of finding a pair of jeans that fit! Perhaps it is because I have the figure of a SlimJim, but I cannot find jeans that look good on me. They are either too loose and baggy, or too tight and clingy, or too short (if I buy petite), or too long (if I buy regular), or really, really too long (if I buy tall). If I buy petite, the jeans look good when I'm standing up, but they come up halfway up my leg when I sit down - horray for cute socks. If I buy regular, they drag on the ground when I'm walking outside. I've rolled them up, but have been informed that this is way un-cool. Perhaps it is also because I'm not willing to spend $80 on 1 pair of jeans. That is crazy! I can't get myself to do it. Although, I wear jeans every day, so I guess a pair of jeans that look and feel fabulous on me might be worth $80. My mom uniform consists of jeans and casual shirts of various colors. A great pair of jeans could be life-changing! I understand the inspiration for the book, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It must be every woman's dream to find the perfect pair of jeans. Well, for me, the search continues ...

Go to a tailor...I haven't personally, but have several friends who do. Just find a great pair on sale and have a tailor alter them wherever you want!! I should be saying this to myself though..I have a million pair that don't fit right. I've inspired us both:)

Thanks so much for finding my blog, what a treat! Oh, and about the jeans, I finally broke down and bought a pair at Talbots, yes they were almost $70.00 after shipping (I had to order tall, they don't have them in the store), but you know what, I wear them every day and they look and feel great. Of course I found out I was pg the day they arrived, but I don't care, they are a classic and I'll have them for afterward. Rachel

I HATE getting jeans. If I ever find a pair that fits, I buy the store out. Recently I found a website that caters to tall women (FINALLY - not everyone's short!!!!) and I've paid an exorbitant (to me) amount for jeans that fit great and are long enough. But you know what, I love them, they love me, and I'll wear them until they're in tatters. Just think - you could spend a few dollars here and there on stupid stuff, or you could have really AWESOME jeans that will be around for a long time!!!!

alice,

I have to say that I am a jean fanatic and I will pay almost any price if they look cute. So, my suggestion is find the ones you love, and then buy two pairs...oh and p.s. don't even look at the price tag:) we moms wear jeans every day, we should feel cute at least part of the time...
