Memory Blog

Do you remember the time.... I saw this on a blog that I stumbled across and thought it looked fun.
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. I think it will be pretty fun to see the responses.

oh my there are quite a few to pick from but i think one of my favorite times was when we had the girls' nite at my house and you brought apples to apples and we made cards, your's was much cuter than mine, and i am sure i scared everyone with my competitiveness but i had a ton of fun, and then i walked you to your car so you wouldn't get mugged in my ghetto neighborhood!!!

You and Cletus were the very first people we met in NC. I remember i was surprised you didn't have an accent. I also miss when we'd get together and do the cooking class with the kids. Even though the kids were crazy I always liked getting together and visiting with you. Remember any time you guys want to get a reprieve from the heat you can come visit!

i remember when you were 17 and you would walk around the house, muttering under your breath, "i can't wait to get OUT of this place!"

I remember on the day you got married, when you and mom were leaving our hotel room to go to the temple, I ran out into the hall and caught you just before you got in the elevator and gave you a hug. I wanted to hug you before you got married. You looked really surprised. Also, you looked slightly impatient, which I can understand. But that's my special me-you memory.

Also, what's up with Mom's memory?

I don't have a very clear memory of you. I just remember going to the Gandolph's to play with Shauna and you were always with Tammy. I also remember sitting in the 3 pew in the singles ward with various guys with their arms around you. All the boys wanted to marry you.
Did that embarrass you right now?

I meant YOU sitting in the 3rd pew in the singles ward... not me.
i really need to proof read more often.

Hmmmmm..what is appropriate to write on your blog! Hahaha. BTW, it was soooo good to see you today. Yes, I remember all the boys wanted to marry Alice. I got to go on a few double dates just by virtue that Alice was my BFF. So, thank you for that. Memories, dying our hair with Cletus when you lived in Lee dorm, running late at night and being scared someone was following us near the track at State, dancing in our apartment, playing pranks (or having pranks played on us) in the Tree House, riding in your really ghetto car my freshman year, going to the tanning bed my freshman year (what were we thinking???? Why did your mom give us a ride to that cancer causing place?) CRAZY pizza, getting ready for dances and lovely talks afterwards, the beach, shaking peaches...which by the way I thought about today when you said you were going to can peaches, talks about guys (times a thousand), you being my escort in the temple, being so proud and happy for you when you got married, thanks for writing me on my mission, oh boy, really there are so many memories and this all just makes me miss you. Why doesn't Cletus just start a practice here in OH-IO. I do need to call you more. Love YOu and I am sure you were an adorable baby, because you have adorable kids!

Alice, I always come back to the lovely memory of you being around when Lucy was born in our apartment in Chapel Hill...I really appreciate you helping our not-so-tiny newborn Lucy, while the paramedics helped me out of the house to the hospital; and the countless things you did after we left! I also remember fun times on the playground at Odum Village, little scavenger hunts you did for the children, putting Lucy's hair in pigtails, and taking great pictures of our children for us. I also remember a great poem you composed for me on my birthday in recent years...yes, I'd say I recall you as a talented, wonderful, loving and endeared person to my heart!
Love ya,
Celeste

I remember playing the candy game that you were in charge of one night at FHE before the singles ward was formed and we still met in the Cary Building. It was fun. I also remember we both had the same black dress with blue flowers from the Gap :) And I remember that you were always very kind, funny, and genuine which must be three of the many reasons why everyone wanted to marry you ;) :) :)
