Kate's new favorite word is "NO!". She walks around the house saying it constantly and answers all questions with that same answer. At times, she can sound like a broken record (or, a scratched CD to be more up- to- date). So, here is a phone conversation that I was trying to have with our automated credit card menu this morning:
Automated robot voice: Are you calling about a payment, your account, purchases ....
Kate (walking through the room): NO!
Automated voice: Did I hear you correctly? Are you saying good-bye?
Me: No.
Automated voice: I'm sorry. Are you calling about a payment, your account, purchases ....
Me: Customer Service please
Automated voice: You would like to speak with someone in Customer service?
Kate: NO!
Automated voice: I'm sorry. I didn't understand you.
Me: Customer Service!
Automated voice: You would like to talk to someone in Customer Service?
Me: Yes, yes, yes!
Kate: NO!
Automated voice: Did I hear you correctly? Are you saying good-bye?
Me: No!
Automated voice: Okay, let's try something else. Please say your account number.
Me: 8345778... (Kate:NO!)
Automated voice: I'm sorry. I didn't understand that number. Please say your account number.
Me: 834 ... (Kate: NO!)
Automated voice: I'm sorry. I didn't understand that number. Let me connect you with a customer service representative.
Me: Thank you, thank you!
Kate: NO!
Real customer service person: Hi, how can I help you?
Kate: NO, NO, NO!
Real person: I'm sorry, can I help you?
Me: Forget it.

I'm sorry, I know it's not funny, but I just laughed and laughed. Don't you just love this age?!
I was crying reading this to Greg!! That is HILARIOUS. Whew, still recovering... Thanks for that! :)
Another great thing about automated phone menus is when you FINALLY get to your turn to talk to a real person and it starts ringing and you hear someone clicking over and you get disconnected. That is always so fun too....
I asked Rachel to please give out my blog address because I was finally settled and missing everyone from NC.I can't believe how big Kate is, the curly hair is adorable. I want to see pics of your house. Did you see the pics of our newest babe, Addalyn? I'm seriously so excited to here from you. I'll write to you later but need to get the kids breakfast right now.
Have a great day!
